SCHMIDT® Flow Sensor SS 20.400 with Flow Direction Detection
SCHMIDT Technology has released a new thermal flow sensor who is the first of it's kind. It is the first thermal insertion sensor which can detect the flow direction as well as it can measure the flow velocity of air and gas in both directions. This sensor is really tiny, the sensor measures only 9 mm in diameter. Inside of this very thin sensor tube (made of stainless steel) you will find the complete microprocessor based electronic. The super fast sensor element allows reaction times down to 10 ms. A robust and aerodynamically designed chamber prevents the sensor element from any stress.
Additionally to the analog output this sensor offers two digital outputs for the indication of the flow direction and of a limit value. A serial interface allows on-site programming of the sensor via PC. Applications: Laminarflow monitoring in cleanrooms, monitoring of overflow or backflow between rooms with pressure difference, monitoring of room over-pressure, air quality measurements, cooling air monitoring, flow monitoring in passivation gas atmosphere, mobile air flow measuring, flow measuring in medical equipment.
