Flow Monitor measures energy efficiency.

Press Release Summary:

ThermoTrack(TM) HVACR energy flow monitoring system is built on non-invasive platform. All components, including flow and temperature transducers, clamp to outside of pipe, making it suitable for retrofit applications. Several units can be daisy-chained and wired to single PC for central monitoring. Monitor is paired with multiple output and communications modules such as 200,000 event data-logger, 4-20 mA otuput, control relay, rate pulse, RS232, and RS485.

Preso® Launches New Non-Invasive Energy Flow Monitoring System

Plattsburgh, NY, June 1, 2003: Preso Flow Metering Equipment is proud to introduce ThermoTrack(TM), a non-invasive HVACR energy flow monitoring system for commercial and industrial buildings. The rising cost of energy is making precision flow management a critical part of operations and ThermoTrack(TM) provides a cost-effective solution for those tasked with measuring energy efficiency.

ThermoTrack(TM) is built on a non-invasive platform, as a result all system components clamp to the outside of existing pipe, making it ideal for retrofit applications. Simply strap the flow and temperature transducers to the outside of the pipe wall and the system is ready to measure. In addition, several units can be daisy-chained and wired into a single personal computer for a convenient central monitoring and billing system. ThermoTracks's design is inexpensive to install; requiring no rebuilding, no system drainage, and no system downtime all resulting in measurable cost savings.

The non-invasive device is paired with multiple output and communications modules such as a 200,000 event data-logger, 4-20 mA output, control relay, rate pulse, RS232, and RS485 that make ThermoTrack(TM) an attractive and cost effective alternative to mechanical flow metering technologies. The RS485 Input/Output Module in particular allows up to 128 transmitters to be placed on a single three-wire cable bus. Each meter is assigned a unique serial number that allows all of the meters on the cable network to be independently accessed. Coupled with a simple software program such as Microsoft Excel® output signals sent back to a computer would allow an entire building to be administered by a single individual. Additionally, an integrated optical interface and optional Windows® software utility give the user complete control of system configuration, calibration, and diagnostics.

Preso, a division of Racine Federated Inc., continues its tradition of manufacturing quality, innovative flow measurement devices.
