FloCat Features Compact Turbine Flow Meter for Very Low Flows

Racine, Wi., April 1, 2003: The C-OK45-DL Series Flow Meter uses the pelton wheel principle to measure the flow of water and other low viscosity liquids. Liquid passes through a nozzle at the inlet of the flow body and is accurately directed onto a flat blade pelton turbine. The turbine wheel rotates at a speed proportional to the flow rate. The movement of the pelton wheel is detected optically. The signal from the optical sensor is processed as an amplified pulse or 4-20mA signal, which is proportional to flow rate. The C-OK45-DL flow meters are available in brass or stainless steel construction and are offered with a choice of three output configurations; frequency output, 4-20 mA output or compact electronics featuring a 3 digit LED display.

Additional Product Features:
o Flow Ranges from 0.24 -11.1 GPH to 0.8 - 80 GPH
o Accuracy of ±1% of Full Scale
o NEMA 4X Electrical Protection
o Long-life Sapphire Axle/Bearing Assembly
o Pulse or 4-20 mA Outputs
o Compact Design

In addition to the compact design, after impacting on the pelton wheel the flow is then redirected via a nozzle, therefore no inlet or outlet straight piping is required and the sensor can be mounted in any orientation. These features make the C-OK45-DL ideal for mounting in locations where space is tight.
