Valspar Achieves VOC Compliance, Industrial-Strength Performance in EnviroUltra(TM) WBU Floor & Wall Coating



WHEELING, IL, April 5, 2007 - In line with its commitment to developing high-performance, environmental-friendly products, Valspar Flooring, a division of Valspar Corporation (NYSE: VAL), today introduced UR-22 EnviroUltra® WBU, a highly versatile, water based urethane topcoat designed for use over epoxy (floor) or wall base coats in environments subjected to chemical exposure and abrasive wear.

With a low-VOC, low odor formulation, EnviroUltra WBU meets current VOC requirements for all 50 US states. This 60% solids water based product produces greater build per coat, and is ideally suited for areas where conventional solvent-based systems cannot be used. Superior UV stability and graffiti resistance make it ideal for a wide range of commercial and institutional facilities.

Offered as a clear coating or, when used in conjunction with Valspar's UR-4 Urethane Color Additive, in a variety of colors, EnviroUltra produces a glossy, attractive stippled finish with excellent light reflectance.
