McGill Wide-Beam Floodlight Features Waterproof Design, Simple Aiming & Heavy-Gauge Aluminum

SKOKIE, IL, January 25, 2002 McGill's Wide-Beam Floodlight is the professional-grade lighting solution for construction sites, heavy-equipment maintenance areas, farming, boat yards, emergency response and other applications requiring high-quality, high-output illumination from a compact, portable unit. The beam pattern is NEMA Type 7 to cover the widest possible area.

Outstanding features of the Wide-Beam Floodlight include: a UL Listed waterproof design; die-cast heavy-gauge aluminum construction with a polyester finish that resists chipping, peeling and fading; a thermal-shock and impact-resistant lens that prevents breakage; and a patented hinge-door. It comes with a 15-foot supply cord and a molded plug, plus is supplied complete with a lamp, guard and stand.

The McGill Wide-Beam Floodlight is available with either 150W high-pressure sodium or 175W metal halide lamps, both of which represent energy-efficient alternatives to higher wattage quartz and PAR flood lighting models. The high-pressure sodium units use 80% less energy than comparable incandescent lamps, while the metal halide units are up to 60% more efficient. The lower wattage units result in cooler operating temperature for the same light output.

McGill manufactures a wide range of products for the contractor, industrial and commercial markets, including cord reels, switches, and portable and temporary lighting. McGill is a member of the EGS Electrical Group.
