Critical Connections Solutions Increase Safety and Performance Levels in Gas and Cryogenic Transfer Applications
Akron, OHIO - Saint-Gobain Performance Plastics (SGPPL) introduces a portfolio of critical connections solutions for demanding gas and cryogenic chemical processing applications. SGPPL's solutions maintain the safety and performance of these high-temperature, high-pressure, and highly corrosive chemical processes, while reducing costs with improved filling times.
SGPPL's critical connections solutions increase working safety during the transfer of cryogenics and compressed gases. The solutions comprise high-end flexible hoses and fittings with anti-whip armor casing that restrict the possibility of violent movement during any surge in pressure and also offer complete gas containment in the case of leakage.
The high-performance pigtail filling hose solution is designed with a low permeation wall, up to 33% thicker than prescribed industry standards, which significantly reduces gas leakage during transfer. A combination offering with SGPPL's Oxy-Flex® Distance Volume Piece fittings and polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) pigtail hoses for oxygen filling eliminates fire hazards during oxygen transfer.
All SGPPL's high-tensile hoses and fittings are designed for faster filling, leading to lower production costs. They are fabricated by the company itself and have been 100% tested, which is beyond industry requirements, increasing the safety of the working environment as well as meeting the necessary Compressed Gas Association (CGA) requirements.
