Connectors are manufactured to compensate for vibration and expansion/contraction of bus bars. Nickel Coated Flexible Copper Conductors for High Temperature Applications



Watteredge LLC is proud to announce the availability of nickel coated, flexible copper braid assemblies for high current, high temperature applications. When water cooling is not an option in high temperature conditions, the nickel coated, braided assemblies from Watteredge LLC have been proven to be an excellent option for heat dissipation.



Working closely with key accounts, Watteredge LLC has tested and developed these products for improved life expectancy, and significant reduction in production downtime due to premature flexible copper conductor failures in the field.



Watteredge braided flexible copper connectors and braided cables deliver the maximum amount of electrical power at peak efficiency. Our braided flexible connectors can be made to exact specifications. These flexible connectors are also manufactured to compensate for vibration, expansion/contraction of bus bars and to deliver minimum resistance values. If you request it, the connector ends can be Press Welded into a homogeneous terminal. This process creates a cable termination with half the resistance of typical compression terminals.



STANDARD BRAIDS are available in 1”, 1-1/4”, 1-3/8”, 1-1/2”, 2”, 3”, 4”, 5” and 6” width. Drilling patterns are NEMA standards. Ferrules are typically 3” long (max 5-7/8”). Copper can be bare, silver, nickel or tin-plated. Current capacity to 3200 amps is available in a single braid assembly.
