Flexible Coaxial Communications Cable Combines High Performance, Weather Resistance
A new series of flexible, low loss, 50 Ohm coaxial communications cable and complete cable assemblies suitable for internal equipment wiring, jumpers between components, and a wide range of outdoor wireless applications is being introduced by TRU Corporation of Peabody, Massachusetts.
cintru(TM) Flexible Coax Communications Cable is a braided, shielded cable that features >90dB shielding, provides performance comparable to corrugated cable but is more flexible, and often eliminates the need for jumpers. Operating over a frequency range of dc to 6 GHz, depending upon connector type, this broadband cable can be supplied in bulk or as complete cable assemblies with connectors such as BMA, SMA, N, SC, TNC, QDS, and 7-16.
Constructed with a copper center conductor, an aluminum tape bonded to a polyethylene foam dielectric, a tinned copper outer braid, and polyethylene outer jacket, cintru(TM) Flexible Coax Communications Cable comes in 0.195" to 0.600" dia. sizes. It is offered in a standard version, UL/CSA listed fire-retardant version; and in a completely watertight version.
