Minneapolis, MN- TURCK announces our latest innovation, flexlife-10, a high flex cable design that guarantees performance to 10 million cycles of continuous flexing, bending and twisting motion. flexlife-10 cable is used for power and signals to factory automation equipment in the automotive, food/beverage, pharmaceutical, electronics and semi-conductor industries. Common applications include cable carriers, robotic welding, assembly, material handling, dispensing, and coating applications. Flex test protocols were designed and performed to replicate abusive automated system environments where combined multi-axis motions of twisting, bending and continuous flexing occur 24/7 and run continuously for millions of flex cycles. Test results provided a predictive cable service life and include a 10,000,000 cycle, flexlife-10 cordset warranty.
The superior performance of flexlife-10 is due to an innovative design and custom compounds; Thermoplastic Elastomer (TPE) and Polyurethane (PUR) cable jackets, Teflon® flex facilitator and finely stranded custom alloy conductors. This design generates less heat as the cable flexes providing longer (10 million-plus flex cycles) product service life. flexlife-10 cable is in stock and available now with molded cordsets using industry standard connections or as spooled cable supplied in 30, 100 or 200-meter lengths in self-feeding packages.
