The Tangent VITA has been designed with many features to benefit the health care and therapy industries, which include a space saving design, rugged sanitary aluminum enclosure, low power consumption, cordless keyboard and mouse, built-in-speakers, WIFI LAN capabilities.
Data entry can be by stylus or by optional touch screen on the display. The display has a tilt range from -5 degrees to +25 degrees to provide viewing comfort and ergonomic flexibility.
"Touch screens are being widely adopted as the standard display in the health care industry because they are more convenient, interactive, and provide a more user-friendly access and communication between healthcare professionals and patients," said Mike Zabaneh, Tangent Vice President of Marketing. "Combined with rugged features and low power consumption, VITA packs a lot of power while taking up very little space to make it a perfect system for medical environments."

Suggested retail is $1,495, or $1,555 with WiFi 802.11b/g wireless LAN installed.
Base features on the Tangent VITA include an Intel® Pentium® 4 3.0GHz processor, 17-inch SXGA LCD TV, DVD/CDRW player, 7-in-1 Multi Flash card reader and integrated stereo speakers, 512K of DDR SDRAM (expandable to 2GB), 120 GB SATA hard drive, and wireless keyboard and mouse.
