Xycom Automation Announces the 5017 - 17" Flat Panel Monitor
Saline, MI - February 20, 2004 - Xycom Automation, Inc., a subsidiary of Pro-face America, Inc. and a market leader in Industrial Flat Panel Monitor technology, announces the release of the 5017 flat panel touch monitor. The 5017 is a low cost, high-performance 17" LCD touch monitor suitable for demanding plant floor applications, as well as Class I & II, Division 2 Hazardous Location installations.
Based on the latest TFT LCD technology, the 5017 displays images with resolutions up to 1280 x 1024 with refresh rates up to 75Hz. With a typical brightness of 250 nit, 400:1 contrast ratio and wide viewing angles, the 5017 produces outstanding image quality. Its state-of-the-art integral scaling engine allows lower resolution images, such as 640 x 480 and 800 x 600 to be smoothly stretched to fill the full 17" LCD viewing area.
The 5017 is built using all metal construction and features a powder coated aluminum front bezel that meets NEMA 4/4X/12 sealing requirements. In addition to panel mounting, the 5017 may be attached to any VESA 100 mm standard mounting arm. Screen adjustment controls are conveniently located on the front bezel and can be disabled via a lock-out switch located on the rear of the monitor. Additonally, the back of the monitor has provisions for mounting a Xycom 1300-CLIENT or 1506 node computer. Other important features include optional 24VDC input power, and stainless steel front bezel.
An optional analog resistive touchscreen with a choice of RS-232 or USB interfaces is also available for the 5017. All monitors are shipped with ten foot VGA, touchscreen cables, mounting hardware, touchscreen driver software and user manual. Orders may be placed starting February 17, 2004, with deliveries beginning immediately.
