B&R Power Panel 200 Product Lines - From Simple Visualization to Complete Automation Systems
Redefining Performance
A wide range of customer requirements can be met with the Power Panel product lines. Whether used as simple operator terminals, for visualization with standard operating systems or as complete automation systems with integrated drive technology, stand-alone or networked, the possibilities are unlimited. The B&R Power Panel 200 devices offer all the functions of a controller, including modular fieldbus interfaces and input systems which range from analog resistive touch screens to various keyboard devices. All devices are equipped with an efficient 266 MHz processor, Ethernet 10/100, serial interface, USB interface and Compact Flash slot. The user can choose from a wide variety of devices with touch screen, function keys or a combination of touch and keypad with an available display size of 5.7, 10.4 or 15 inches. Depending on the visualization requirements, the user has the option to select either a horizontally or vertically formatted Power Panel. Devices with a 15" diagonal screen are furthermore equipped with an alphanumeric keyboard. Custom overlays are also available upon request to accommodate the customer's corporate identity.
Power Panel 200 embedded
Power Panel 200 devices integrate both control and motion technology. These devices are equipped with up to two slots for interface modules that can communicate to I/O points, intelligent servo drives and third party devices, thus providing the customer with a total control solution. Additionally, communication performance in the sub 1mSec range can be achieved. The Power Panel series supports CAN bus, Profibus DP, X2X Link, and ETHERNET PowerlinkTM connections.
Power Panel 200 Light / Compact - The economical solution
The devices in the Power Panel Light / Compact series provide a new economical solution in the high performance class of compact QVGA operating units with integrated controllers. The Power Panel Light devices are primarily intended for applications which rely on CAN bus or X2X interfaces for connecting peripherals without requiring Ethernet. Devices from the Compact series are additionally equipped with a 10/100 Ethernet interface, making network connections possible to a higher-level computer or other devices.
Programming using B&R Automation Studio(TM)
Automation Studio(TM) is used for programming the entire control task as well as configuring the visualization component. Particularly impressive combinations can be implemented using the Power Panel 200 along with one or more Power Panel 100 devices in terminal mode. The Power Panel 200, containing all the control functions including visualization, is located on one side of the machine while the Power Panel 100 takes care of a second visualization task on the other. The visualization, motion and control program are all stored on a single compact flash which is making necessary software changes and maintenance more efficient for the customer.
