August 15, 2003 - SCHOTT Fostec introduces the Flashport System, a fully functioning flash system for stereo-microscopy and macroscopy applications in industry and life-science. The System is also used in forensic applications to intensify fluorescence excitation for documentation of fingerprints and other forensic evidence.

The Flashport enables exact exposure and documentation of fast moving objects in incident and transmissive light as well as objects with a low degree of reflection. Possessing a color temperature of about 5500 K, the Flashport produces a high flash intensity.
