Big Cat(TM) High Performance Flap Discs by Weiler
Weiler's Big Cat(TM) abrasive flap discs are designed for applications where long life and conformity are needed. Big Cat's last 30-40% longer than standard flap discs, and, due to their thickness and larger flaps, conform to curved and irregular surfaces. The high density Type 27 configuration adds flexibility for smoother grinding action and also lowers operator fatigue. Typical applications for Big Cat flap discs include weld blending, grinding, deburring, deflashing, stock removal, surface finishing and blending, and edge chamfering.
The same high cut rate and quality of finish are maintained throughout the life of flap discs because the multiple layers of coated abrasive material expose sharp, fresh grains as they slowly wear away. The enhanced conformability of the Big Cat abrasive flap disc also helps reduce gouging and undercutting. In addition to producing a better quality product, end users are able to increase productivity and reduce operating costs due to the long life offered by the Big Cat.
Weiler Big Cat flap discs are available in both 4-1/2" and 7" sizes, with or without a 5/8"-11 nut. These phenolic-backed discs are available in both aluminum oxide and zirconium.
