Family of Shore A, UL 94 V-O Polyurethanes Introduced by Innovative Polymers



Saint Johns, Michigan, - A new family of flame-retardant, Shore A hardness polyurethanes has been developed by Innovative Polymers. The products, which meet the requirements of UL 94 V-0, are designed for use in casting electronic parts, medical devices and gaming machine components. All systems in the FX polyurethane series are colored white and feature good mechanical characteristics.

Innovative Polymers FX series polyurethanes exhibit easy to handle viscosities of less than 1000 cPs. Work life is 10 to 15 minutes and parts cast from the new products can be demolded in about three hours. Once cured, the flame-retardant systems exhibit excellent tear strength and elongation properties of 200% or higher.
