Fixturlaser XA Voted Product of the Year in US

Subscribers of the American magazine Plant Engineering have voted Fixturlaser's new shaft alignment system, Fixturlaser XA, as the Product of the Year in the Maintenance Products category. In tough competition, Fixturlaser XA was nominated as one of seventeen products in the prestigious competition's category for maintenance products, and was subsequently named the winner.
Users' wishes for speed and user friendliness constituted the basis for development of the Fixturlaser XA shaft alignment system. To facilitate alignment of machinery, Fixturlaser AB has developed a new user interface in which Flash-animated color imagery assists users throughout alignment. This in combination with the integration of CCD technology (which is also used in digital cameras) radically shorten some of the most time consuming steps of the alignment process.
With the distinction, Fixturlaser further reinforces its position as a technological leader in shaft alignment. Fixturlaser has won Plant Engineering's Product of the Year twice before. In 1992, Fixturlaser won with the Combi-Laser system, and in 2003, with the V 180 system.
News of the most recent success was received by Fixturlaser AB, based in Molndal, Sweden, with delight. 'Considering all of the work we have put into development of Fixturlaser XA and all the pride we feel in the product, it feels especially nice to win the prize again,' says Fixturlaser's MD Hans Svensson. 'The market's positive response to our new product has been reflected in the form of substantial demand, both for the system and the accessories for wireless transfer.'
