CLEVELAND, OH - November 6, 2006 - Jergens, Inc. today announced its new Hydraulic
Ball Lock(TM) quick-change fixture mounting system. The Hydraulic Ball Lock(TM) system combines the company's well-known Ball Lock mounting technology with hydraulic power to deliver the speed of hydraulic clamping with a positive mechanical lock. Fixture plates are simply dropped into place onto manifold-mounted Ball Lock shanks. The shanks are hydraulically unlocked but lock mechanically. They won't release unless hydraulic pressure is reapplied. No external plumbing is required.

The new system is ideal for automated workholding applications. It both locates and locks, with repeatability to ±.0005" (±.013mm). Shanks are 25mm X .75 inches.
