Fixed gas detectors in Crowcon's Xgard detector line quickly detect these dangers and alert personnel to emergency conditions, preventing accidents and leaving workers confident of their safety when working with gases.
Xgard detectors protect personnel and equipment against a range of flammable and toxic gases, including methane and carbon monoxide. The detectors may also be fitted with a sensor that alerts workers of oxygen deficiency in enclosed environments. A universal junction box serves the whole range, which is designed to make replacement of sensors and sinters extremely easy. Spare sensors simply plug-in. Constructed of highly durable marine-grade aluminum with a tough polyester coating, the Xgard withstands even the harshest conditions.
A variety of options are available to tailor Xgard detectors to specific application needs. They are designed for either wall or ceiling mounting without the need for additional brackets, and a variety of cable gland options suit most site requirements. Special models are available for high-temperature settings, and accessories are available for duct mounting. Spray deflectors and weatherproof caps are available for use in corrosive outdoor environments, such as offshore applications.
