NEW - JE50S B/A 5 Axis Horizontal Machining Center



SCHAUMBURG, IL, June 26, 2006 - Enshu will be exhibiting the new JE50S B/A 5 Axis Horizontal Machining Center at the International Manufacturing Technology Show (IMTS) 2006, September 6-13 at McCormick Place in Chicago, Illinois. The new JE50S B/A (B over A) version features a BT/BIG Plus 40 taper spindle, a 20" working envelope, 2,362 IPM rapids and a rotating & tilting work table with 32mm faceplate. The JE50S B/A comes standard with a 12,000 RPM, 20 HP direct-coupled spindle, 256 PSI through spindle coolant and a TNK high volume rolling filter microfine chip conveyor. To save floor space, the 40-tool capacity automatic tool changer is mounted directly over the top of the spindle. The JE50S B/A features a Fanuc 18iMB5 control capable of simultaneous 5-axis contouring. Born out of Enshu's Systems Division, the JE50S is also available in other configurations including A/B (A over B), A, B, 2APC and B/A-2APC. Each version is engineered with the axis ranges optimized for the application and easily automated. The JE50S B/A is a mainstay for production machining but equally at home in medical and aerospace applications.

The JE50S B/A takes advantage of Enshu's extensive component reliability database and meets our 5000 Hour MTBF1 design criteria. The machine makes use of a common base and was designed for deployment in Lean Line, Agile Line, Flexible Transfer Line and Standalone applications.
