First UV-C LED Product Certified to NSF/ANSI 55-2019 Standard
USA manufactured, PearlAqua Micro™ range becomes the first water disinfection safety component to be tested and approved by NSF International to their newly published Standard 55.
Erlanger, KY (October 28th, 2019) – AquiSense Technologies, the global leader in UV-C LED water disinfection technology, claims the world’s first NSF Component Certification to the newly updated NSF/ANSI 55-2019 Standard for its PearlAqua Micro range. The PearlAqua Micro was certified by NSF International in compliance with the new NSF/ANSI 55 Standard for Material Safety and Structural Integrity.
The PearlAqua Micro is the world’s smallest UV-C LED water treatment system, with tens of thousands of units shipped this year is a clear market leading product. The PearlAqua Micro range includes 5 discrete model sizes offering flow rates of up-to 8 lpm and 3rd party validation disinfection performance of up-to 6-log (99.9999%) pathogen reduction. The PearlAqua Micro range is designed to be integrated at the point of use and offers 12 or 24 VDC input voltage, automatic on/off control, multiple sensing/alarm options, and customizable housing options. The NSF/ANSI 55-2019 Standard has recently been updated to address the unique technical differences of LED technology compared to traditional mercury gas-discharge lamp technology. Following very shortly will be microbiological performance certification by NSF. This will provide additional verification to the already completed 3rd party microbiological validation completed on the PearlAqua Micro range, showing supplemental bacterial treatment of drinking water supplies. This provides a strong final barrier and “last-mile” protection to many applications
