A New Innominate Product for Secure Networking and Remote Maintenance will be Introduced at the Hannover Messe 2009
Berlin, March 24, 2009 - With mGuard centerport, Innominate Security Technologies AG introduces a new high-end Firewall/VPN gateway in 19-inch format as central infrastructure for its remote services solutions and an alternative to mGuard bladePack. The new device features Gigabit Ethernet interfaces und supports VPN connections of an arbitrary number of systems in VPN tunnel groups with up to 1,000 concurrently active tunnels. It therefore delivers throughput of more than 300 MBit/s of encrypted VPN data to secured remote assistance, diagnosis, maintenance, and condition monitoring of large quantities of machinery and plant equipment over the Internet.
The mGuard centerport is being launched simultaneously with a major release of mGuard Firmware 7.0, offering multi-platform support. In addition to the Intel IXP network processor traditionally supported by Innominate, this firmware version is now available in security appliances and for embedded security OEM solutions based on CPUs with Intel x86 and PowerPC architectures as well.
A further development is the firmware extension mGuard CIFS Integrity Monitoring for the surveillance of CIFS file systems - better known as Windows file shares - against malware infestation. With its integrity checking function and antivirus scan connector, Innominate delivers an innovative and industry-driven alternative to conventional antivirus solutions which can be used to protect Windows-based automation equipment.
These new Innominate products will be introduced at Hannover Messe 2009, the world's largest and most important showcase for industrial technology, April 20-24, Hall 9, Booth F54, Hannover, Germany.
