Firestop Putty Offers a Tough, Flexible Seal Which is Perfect for Sound Deadening


SSP Firestop Putty is classified for common firestop applications up to and including 3 hours. It is fully tested to the requirements of ASTM E814 and to the time / temperature requirements of ASTM E119. Besides its firestop applications, this putty also makes an excellent acoustical product. It is a non-hardening material that offers a tough, flexible seal. Considering that a 1% opening in a wall or ceiling allows 50% of the noise to pass through it. It becomes very evident that these gaps need to be sealed as air tight as possible. Since the putty will not harden and crack over time and it is unaffected by humidity, condesation and water it makes for a great long term seal.

SSP Firestop Putty is perfect for metallic conduits, telephone, data or electrical power cable penetrations. A variety of sleeved and non-sleeved applications have been tested and proven providing the ultimate in installation versatility. Non-hardening and reusable, SSP Firestop Putty addresses the need for flexibility in "high traffic" data and communication penetrations. No drying or curing is required.

SSP Firestop Putty requires no tools. Simply pull off a piece and pack it into the opening. SSP Firestop Putty is soft and pliable, even at low temperatures! To reduce waste SSP Firestop Putty tubes are packed in tough, resealable containers that are equally at home in the contractor truck or toolbox.
