An automatic fire detection and suppression system that instantly detects and extinguishes fires inside of mission-critical electrical enclosures and control panels such as PLCs, MCCs, and switch gear is being introduced by Firetrace(R) International of Scottsdale, Arizona.
Firetrace(R) Electrical Fire Suppression Systems can detect a fire inside an enclosure 250 cu.ft. or less and instantly release a clean suppression agent such as FM-200(R) or C02. Featuring a flexible, polymer tubing that ruptures when exposed to a flame and can be routed anywhere within a cabinet, these systems automatically dispense the suppression agent to extinguish the fire.
Fully operational without requiring electricity or another external power source, Firetrace(R) Electrical Fire Suppression Systems help to prevent the extensive loss of equipment and process or production downtime by instantly detecting and extinguishing a fire before it spreads.
