Honeywell's Fire Alarm Testing Software Makes Buildings Safer & Building Management Easier

eVance Services Software Simplifies Fire Alarm Testing and Delivers Detailed Test Reports to Facility Managers Immediately and 24/7 Access to Report Archives

Northford, Conn. — Honeywell (NYSE: HON) announced today the launch of its new eVance Services management software solution, which increases fire alarm testing accuracy and delivers more comprehensive test reports to improve building safety, and help simplify the jobs of building owners and fire alarm service companies.

Available for authorized distributors of Gamewell-FCI, NOTIFIER, and Silent Knight’s Farenhyt line, eVance Services enables fire alarm service companies to more effectively test systems and provide building owners with 24/7 access to an assortment of required reports.

“This type of automated fire alarm testing software is so effective that we’re seeing more and more bids for service work specifying that it must be used for the job,” said Rich Fischer, software services national sales manager. “Because we can now integrate this testing software directly into our panels and more thoroughly test every point on a system, inspection accuracy is greatly improved, unlike competitive products.”

Fire alarm control panels are first connected to the Internet via a secure Web portal to enable the system to transfer information directly to a hand-held device. Addressable devices or “points” can be quickly tested with the results for each being tracked on the technician’s smartphone or tablet. Non-addressable points can be tracked too, via barcode labels and scanners. Test reports are compiled simultaneously, allowing the technician to acquire sign-off and email reports to all appropriate building managers before leaving the site.

All inspection reports performed through eVance Services are stored securely in the Cloud, making them organized and easily accessible to building managers. Multiple types of tests and reports can be accomplished through eVance Services, including fire alarm, sprinkler, suppression, and hand portable fire extinguishers, as well as joint commission reports for hospitals and medical facilities.

More information on eVance Services can be found online through the Gamewell-FCI, NOTIFIER and Farenhyt by Silent Knight eVance sites.
