New Finger-Pull Handle Installs 'In a Snap' Without Screws or Tools

Features D-SNAP Technology

CHANTILLY, VA - DIRAK, a global innovator in latches, locks and hinges, has introduced a finger-pull handle that's unique in the marketplace because it's so simple to install. A moderate pressing motion is all that's required to install the handle in place on a prepared panel. Marketed under the SNAP-LINE brand, the U-shaped "Omicron" handle requires no screws for installation. It eliminates the risk from screws that can loosen over time and fall out onto to sensitive equipment where they can cause damage. "Omicron" holds securely, even in severe vibration environments.

SNAP-LINE finger-pull handles enable manufacturers to save time and effort in final assembly. Panel preparation is a simple rectangular cut-out. SNAP-LINE finger-pull handles are ideal for server racks, small enclosures, small doors and panel doors on industrial equipment.

Traditionally, installing a finger-pull handle involves several steps: aligning the hardware, fitting washers and nuts, and tightening the screws. The small size of finger-pull handles has traditionally added to the challenge.

Installation of a SNAP-LINE finger-pull handle from start to finish, takes about as much time as merely aligning a part - the first step of traditional assembly. No tools are required.

SNAP-LINE products incorporate D-SNAP technology. The D-SNAP housing holds a spring-loaded set of wings designed to snap into position to hold the finger-pull handle firmly in the panel. Parts attached with D-SNAP technology hold securely, even in severe vibration environments.

SNAP-LINE finger-pull handles come in a variety of materials, heights and clamping ranges.

Unlike plastic clip-in products on the market, SNAP-LINE products are zinc die cast, with strength that is comparable to screw-mounted products. To allow for easy replacement and for maintenance of associated areas, the D-SNAP mechanism can be retracted using a tool, easily allowing the hardware to slide back out from the panel opening.
