Filter Arrays suppress noise in mobile phones.

Press Release Summary:

Measuring 1.6 x 0.8 x 0.5 mm, MEA1608PE series is comprised of 4 filter arrays with capacitance values of 15, 22, 27, or 36 pF that attenuate noise in 470-770 MHz range. These multilayer chip EMI filter arrays are intended for mobile terminals compatible with terrestrial digital television broadcasts as well as other noise countermeasure applications in 470 MHz to 2 GHz range. Each noise countermeasure component is Pb-free and RoHS-compliant.

TDK to Release Noise Suppression Part for Mobile Phones

Tokyo - TDK Corporation today announced the development of the MEA1608PE series of multilayer chip EMI filter arrays, the industry's smallest and lightest noise countermeasure components intended for mobile terminals that are compatible with terrestrial digital television broadcasts.

At only 1.6 mm x 0.8 mm x 0.5 mm, the lead-free, RoHS-compliant filter arrays attenuate noise in the 470 MHz to 770 MHz range. The product lineup includes four filter arrays with different capacitances for optimal effects depending on the circuit (15 pF, 22 pF, 27 pF, and 36 pF). They can be used for devices with terrestrial digital television broadcast tuners as well as a wide range of other noise countermeasure applications in the 470 MHz to 2 GHz range.

Production is slated to begin in October 2006. The sample price has been set at 30 yen/ unit.
