Filter and Flow Monitors suit water and corrosive liquid applications.

Press Release Summary:

Used as filter monitors, PVC Models 1002/1201 tell operators when cleaning or replacement is required. Both models check health of filtration media by measuring DP across input and output sides of system. To monitor flow efficiency, PVC Model 2221FG uses variable-area design to detect slight changes in flow rate on linear scale. Dial gauges are easy to read, even when used with dirty fluids, and can be oriented horizontally or vertically. All instruments feature PVC bodies and wetted parts.

Original Press Release:

New PVC Instruments Monitor Filter and Flow Performance for Water and Corrosive Liquids

MILFORD, CT - Unique instruments from Orange Research with PVC wetted parts provide low-cost solutions for monitoring filter and flow performance on systems handling water and corrosive liquids. The new family of instruments is available with gauges for local indication and switches or transmitters for remote use. They are popular in water treatment applications.

Used as filter monitors, PVC Models 1002 and 1201 accurately tell operators when it is time to clean or replace filters, saving hundreds of dollars over the life of a system. They provide even greater savings when complex filtration equipment is at risk. The PVC filter monitors check the health of filtration media by measuring differential pressure - an indication of pressure drop - across the input and output sides of the system. The two models offer a variety of specifications to meet most application requirements.

To monitor flow efficiency, PVC Model 2221FG uses a variable-area design to detect slight changes in flow rate on a linear scale. Unlike rotameters, the dial gauges are easy to read -- even with dirty fluids -- and can be oriented horizontally or vertically. Model 2221FG withstands harsh environments and handles most popular flow rates.

The filter monitors are available with 1" or 2.5" diameter durable plastic dial cases. Flow monitors are available with 2.5" or 3.5" diameter plastic dial cases. Switches are standard options to alert users of alarm conditions. Transmitter and switch versions are available on request.

PVC bodies and wetted parts improve compatibility and assure long service life. The filter monitor bodies are rated at 150 psig line pressure; flow monitor bodies at 200 psig line pressure. Filter monitors come standard with 1/8" female NPT process ports on the bottom of the body; flow monitors have standard 1/4" female NPT in-line ports.

Orange Research offers a large selection of low-cost, rugged and reliable products for measuring differential pressure, flow and liquid level. Built to last, these products are known for long life and reliable service under the harshest conditions.
