Kynar® KYNStick® Film Tape with Adhesive
Kynar® KYNStick® Tape with Pressure Sensitive Adhesive is an exclusive new CS Hyde Tape. KYNStick® Tape is made with Kynar® film with an Acrylic or Very High Bond Adhesive for ease of application, positioning and fastening. KYNStick® Tape offers excellent chemical and corrosion resistance and has a high tensile strength. KYNStick® has good thermal stability and can be used in applications up to 300°F. Kynar® (PVDF)has extremely high purity which makes it a good candidate for food applications. When specified, Kynar 740 FILM complies with FDA regulation 21 CFR 177.510, USDA, USP XX Class VI, 3A sanitary standards and meets ASTM D3222 resin specifications. KYNStick® Tape also possesses high impact resistance and is tough and durable. PROPERTY SHEET Available.
PVDF (Kynar ®) is strong and tough as reflected by its tensile properties and impact strength. Compared to many thermoplastics, PVDF (Kynar ®) has excellent resistance to creep and fatigue, yet in thin sections such as films, PVDF (Kynar ®) components are flexible and transparent. Kynar ® Film is stable to UV and the effects of weather. In cold, heat, sunlight and humidity Kynar® Film does not wear out or get brittle. Kynar® has low NBS smoke generation and superior LOI.

KYNStick® Tape can be supplied with two different high tack adhesives. For general purposes, Acrylic Adhesive offers good adhesion, chemical and environmental resistance. For a bond that is more permanent, 3M's VHB (Very High Bond) Adhesive is available. (3M F-9460-PC 2 Mil or 3M VHB F-9469PC 5 Mil). VHB creates such a strong bond, it can replace bolts, welds and mechanical fastenings. This helps cut labor costs during application. VHB adhesive also offers greater design flexibility that can be key to dramatic design and performance improvements.
KYNStick® Tapes are available in with .005" or .010" Kynar® film thickness. Other thicknesses are available on a custom basis. KYNStick® Tape is semi-transparent and relatively colorless. Product Series is #32-_A (Acrylic) or #32-_VHB. Widths can be cut from narrow to wide. KYNStick® can also be die cut into custom shapes or sheeted by-the-foot.
