Folding Posting Board Increases Installation Flexiblity of Mediastation ELF in Warehousing Applications
The folding posting board option for the MediaStation(TM) Electric Lateral File (ELF) storage system from MegaStar Systems allows the system to be used for industrial records storage and retrieval applications in areas of limited floor space.
The MediaStation ELF consists of a series of vertically arranged rotating carriers controlled by an electronic keypad that delivers files to an ergonomically positioned posting board.
The folding posting board can be folded down and out of the way when not in use, allowing the MediaStation ELF to be installed in areas where space is at a premium, making use of floor space that might otherwise be wasted.
The MediaStation ELF provides more than 2,700 linear file inches of letter-sized filing space, equivalent to approximately 27 file cabinets. By taking advantage of unused overhead space, the MediaStation ELF can hold the same number of files as traditional four-drawer filing cabinets or lateral files in 50 to 60 percent less space. Because personnel don't have to spend time manually retrieving files their productivity can double.
The ergonomic design and operation of the MegaStar MediaStation ELF is fully compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and OSHA regulations, as well as the Uniform Federal Accessibility Standards (UFAS) for forward and side reach, clearance under the work counter, and control accessibility guidelines which must comply with. Roll-out file drawer helps reduce the occurrence of repetitive stress injuries.
The system can be configured to handle a variety of media including hanging letter and legal files, microfilm, card indexes, computer tapes, and optical disks, boxes and other material.
