Avatron Software Unveils Air Sharing 3.0 with Improved PDF Viewer, Support for Egnyte HybridCloud File Server

PORTLAND, Ore. -- Avatron® Software today introduced Air Sharing 3.0, the latest and fastest-ever version of its popular file-sharing app for the Apple iOS platform. Key enhancements include a new horizontal page-based PDF viewer and support for Egnyte's HybridCloud File Server. These and other Air Sharing upgrades improve iPhone and iPad user productivity through more effortless document reading and enhanced searching capabilities. Support for Egnyte HybridCloud gives businesses the benefits of both Cloud and behind-the-firewall access to their files for an optimal collaboration and sharing experience from anywhere.

Air Sharing transforms the iPhone and iPad into an external drive, facilitating document viewing and moving on the go. Unlike previous versions of the software, which included a fairly standard iOS viewer that presented pages in a continuous vertical strip, Air Sharing 3.0's viewer shows PDF pages horizontally, much like the iBook app. The new PDF viewer also features a scroll bar with page thumbnails for quick access to any page. An added search feature highlights and displays previews of all related matches. Corporate users can take advantage of support for a wide range of formats from Microsoft Office to PDF to CAD aiding in communication with outside partners. Air Sharing even supports viewing of source code with syntax color coding, supporting programmers who collaborate on their custom application development.

"We've developed and introduced these new features and capabilities in direct response to individual and small business user feedback, which has always been invaluable in enabling Avatron to maintain its position as a leading developer of productivity applications for Apple's iOS," said Dave Howell, CEO. "Delivering an iBook-like viewer experience enhances Air Sharing 3.0 user comfort and productivity, as does the new version's optimized page layout."

Specifically, this Air Sharing 3.0 PDF enhancement provides a "one-page-up" view in portrait orientation and a "two-pages-up" magazine look in landscape mode.

Egnyte HybridCloud File Server provides business users with synchronization of files across PCs, NAS, Virtual Appliance and iOS mobile devices. Users easily store, share, access and backup their files, while IT retains centralized administration and control to enforce business policies. Combining Egnyte HybridCloud and Air Sharing 3.0 gives business users anytime, anywhere access to their files, and the means to quickly and easily view and print them.

"We're excited to integrate with Avatron's new Air Sharing 3.0 productivity application," said Vineet Jain, CEO Egnyte Inc. "Adding our Hybrid Cloud solution to the new Air Sharing suite helps increase the productivity of today's mobile users, giving them fast, remote access to the files they need to get their jobs done. Whether behind the firewall or working from the cloud, today's mobile workforce can be more productive, while easily sharing files with co-workers and consultants."

Air Sharing 3.0 is available in the App Store and is part of Avatron's highly acclaimed family of productivity apps for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. For more information, visit www.avatron.com.
