WAGO "ECOnomy" Fieldbus Coupler Offers Economical Solution For Automation Systems

Germantown, WI, January 2002-WAGO Corporation has once again expanded its line of WAGO I/O SYSTEM products to include the new ECO Fieldbus Coupler, bringing the same quality and reliability to a wider variety of applications.

The ECO Fieldbus coupler is recommended for applications that have reduced I/O requirements. As a result of its smaller, 8-bit microcontroller format, the ECO Fieldbus Coupler offers a cost-effective solution for use in I/O nodes with maximum 32 byte data sizes. Analog and specialty I/O modules can still be included on the node.

This new addition to the WAGO I/O SYSTEM 750 Series maintains the flexibility found in the more powerful, 16-bit microcontroller versions, with more than 90 varieties of I/O modules available. The ECO fieldbus coupler includes the diagnostic and communications features of the more powerful version and will be available for DeviceNet, Profibus and Interbus-S during the first quarter of 2002.
