New module extends planning capabilities for field service organizations

Annapolis, MID, April 2, 2002 -- ServicePower (LSE: SVR), a global developer and supplier of field service scheduling software for the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) market, today announced the immediate availability of SERVICEPlanner, an optional module for its flagship SERVICEPower scheduling product. SERVICEPlanner provides managers with the ability to geographically visualize the skills and knowledge of individual technicians, a team of technicians, or an entire scheduling unit, thus helping them to identify problem areas and plan field resource coverage more effectively.

Running as a separate module, SERVICEPlanner is a Web-based application that extracts knowledge and skill information from the SERVICEPower database and displays it on a map using a standard Web Browser and MapXtreme from MapInfo Corporation. "The ability to graphically represent a technician's local knowledge enables managers to set up and maintain technician coverage areas, which contain a wealth of information useful in planning and scheduling field resources," commented Ian MacKinnon, president of ServicePower. "SERVICEPlanner represents yet another step we've taken to provide our customers with the information they need to manage their entire field operations. Most importantly, the graphical representation of this information conveys the maximum amount of information at a glance," he added.

SERVICEPlanner is available on Windows NT, Service Pack 3 or higher, and Windows 2000.
