AssetWorks Field Service Solution Continues to Expand Functionality to Address FMCSA’s Electronic Logging Device Regulations

Wayne, PA – AssetWorks, a leading provider of fleet management software, automated fuel management systems, field service solutions, and electronic logging devices announced today that it has continued to expand its Field Service Solution in response to the FMCSA’s proposed electronic log mandate which will require Electronic Logging Devices (ELDs) to be installed in all vehicles subject to Hours of Service (HOS) Regulations. The FMCSA believes that requiring ELDs will improve compliance with HOS legislation and decrease the risk of fatigue-related crashes. The proposed rulemaking would significantly reduce the paperwork burden associated with Hours of Service record keeping for interstate truck drivers.

Combining ELDs and in-office software, AssetWorks’ Field Service Solution complies with both US and Canadian HOS regulations, eliminates the need for paper logs, and simplifies compliance reporting for both inspections and audits.

In addition to ELDs, AssetWorks Field Service Solution provides customers with a single platform for field ticketing, dispatch, IFTA data collection, vehicle and asset tracking, and pre/post trip vehicle inspection. The Field Service Solution is available for use on a variety of devices, including phones and tablets running Android OS, as well as the AssetWorks Ranger, a fixed mount, in-vehicle computer. Using one of these devices, field operators can electronically manage field tickets and work orders, update inventory details and track job statuses.

“We’re pleased to be able to offer our customers a robust technology solution which improves their work management processes and increases the efficiency of their operations, while at the same time allowing them to easily manage compliance with important regulations such as ELDs and vehicle inspections,” says Mike Koebel, Sales Director at AssetWorks.

AssetWorks provides technology solutions for CH2MHill and Gas Drive Global/Enerflex and American Electric Power (AEP).
