Fiberstars to Unveil New EFO® Illuminator at LightFair International Trade Show and Conference

New Lighting Product Increases Output While Increasing Efficiency 25%

SOLON, Ohio, May 7 // -- Fiberstars, Inc. (NASDAQ:FBST), the global leader in commercial fiber optic lighting, today announced that it will unveil EFO(R) Illuminator, the latest evolution of its high-efficiency lighting product, at LightFair International, the world's largest annual architectural and commercial lighting trade show. LightFair will take place Tuesday, May 8, through Thursday, May 10, at the Javits Convention Center in New York City. The Company will have a booth on the floor of the show where visitors may meet with Fiberstars representatives and see demonstrations of its products, including the new EFO Illuminator.

The Illuminator requires 80 percent less electricity than traditional lighting achieving a total fixture efficiency of 61 lumens per watt -- more than four times more efficient than traditional halogen lighting fixtures.

"With the current high cost of energy and concerns about global warming, traditional lighting technologies are becoming increasingly expensive as well as ecologically irresponsible to operate," said John Davenport, president and CEO of Fiberstars, Inc.

The EFO product line is also made from 99% recycled or re-used materials, and includes a purchase option to make the light carbon neutral -- making it one of the "greenest" lighting sources on the market today.

Fiberstars lighting products and fixtures can be found in Whole Foods Markets, Cinemark Theaters, Albertsons grocery stores, the Clinton Presidential Library, and other marquee projects including the U.S. Constitution. The company also offers a wide variety of fiber optic lighting fixtures for pools and spas that offer superior architectural lighting opportunities.
