Original Press Release:

World's Most Advanced Corrosion-Resistant Fiberglass Pipe

Tulsa, Oklahoma - Smith Fibercast's Z-Core® centrifugally cast piping system is the world's most corrosion-resistant fiberglass pipe.

Capable of handling high concentrations of corrosive acids (including 98% concentrations of sulfuric acid), alkalis, and solvents, the Z-Core piping system exceeds the corrosion resistance of stainless steel, lined steel, and other metallics. It is easier and less costly to install, and offers the lowest life cycle cost of any corrosion resistant piping system.

Z-Core is available in 1" to 8" sizes, and a full range of fittings are offered to meet the same high-level performance specifications as the pipe itself. This results in a totally bonded system that protects against leaks and fugitive emissions.

Formed by the merger of Smith Fiberglass and the Fibercast Company in 2001, Smith Fibercast offers the industry more than 90 years of combined experience in fiberglass piping products and custom engineered and fabricated piping systems for chemical, petroleum, and industrial applications.
