Fiber Optic Light Source produces high intensity spots.

Press Release Summary:

Ellipsoidal aluminum reflector lamps can be used as light sources in fiber optic applications. They produce small, uniform, high intensity spot, come in 9.5 to 50 mm dia sizes, and provide light intensity from 0.5 to 150 W. For high output applications, dichroic reflectors are available, which let wavelengths longer than 700 nm pass through to reduce heat. Light sources can be supplied with lamps permanently bonded into reflector or with threaded lamp holder.

Original Press Release:

Fiber Optic Light Sources Produce Uniform, High Intensity Light Spots

A full line of reflector lamps that are offered in a variety of configurations for use as light sources in fiber optic applications are being introduced by Gilway Technical Lamp of Woburn, Massachusetts.

Gilway Fiber Optic Light Sources feature ellipsoidal aluminum reflectors, for full spectrum efficiency, that produce a small, uniform, high intensity spot and come in 9.5 mm up to 50 mm dia. sizes. For high output applications, dichroic reflectors are offered which let wavelengths longer than 700 nm pass through to reduce heat, selecting only the visible light.

Providing light intensity from 0.5 to 150 Watts, Gilway Fiber Optic Light Sources can be supplied with lamps permanently bonded into the reflector to create a prefocused spot, or with a threaded lamp holder assembly to permit easy manipulation of the light beam and focal distance.

Gilway Fiber Optic Light Sources are priced from $12.50 (list), depending upon size and configuration. Literature and price quotations are available on request.
