Wide Dynamic Wavelength Range Fiber Optic Identifier
Toronto, Canada - GAO Instruments (www.GAOInstruments.com) has announced the release of its easy-to-use handheld fiber optic identifier (LP-251) which is an essential instrument for installation and maintenance in optic networks. The fiber optic identifier efficiently detects the optical signals passing through the fiber utilizing local detection technology, so it avoids opening the fiber at splice point for identification and interruption. It identifies various signal frequency tones: 270Hz, 1kHz, and 2kHz.
This LP-251 optical fiber identifier has replaceable adaptors and a wide dynamic wavelength range from 900nm to 1650nm. The portable identifier shows low bending loss and highly efficient output. It displays three levels of signal intensity and is applicable for bare fiber as well as cable. In addition, an audible tone can be heard when destructive detection is present on the fiber during test.
