Ultra-Miniature 3 mm x 3 mm Side-View Fiber Tip Features Integrated Precision Lens



November 1, 2004-Banner Engineering has introduced its new PLIS-1 fiber optic end tip with integrated precision side-view lens. The ultra-miniature 3 mm x 3 mm PLIS-1 features a low beam divergence angle of just 2° for the most reliable sensing of small profile targets such as semiconductor wafer mapping. Fibers can easily embed in wafer handlers, end effectors, and space-limited machine geometries and are ideal for applications requiring low-contrast, opposed mode fibers with a more collimated sensing beam than traditional plastic fibers.

o Long range (1 m opposed with D10 Expert(TM) in SHP mode).
o 2 m small diameter (1 mm) fiber optic cable is field cuttable.
