Telecom Outdoor Solutions

The new range of products for Telecom Outdoor Solutions combines the advantages of the approved HARTING PushPull and Han® 3 A housings in their whole variety, with innovative fibre and copper based inserts. The integration of the standard LC fibre optic connectors, as well single mode as multi mode, opens new fields of application for fibre in harsh environments. The hybrid versions combine data (LC fibre or RJ 45) and power in one connector. Hybrid implies easy maintenance and installation. All these high quality interfaces are robust, vibration protected and fulfill the requirements according to IP 65 / 67, where HARTING stands for worldwide.

The HARTING Telecom Outdoor Solution family started originally as copper based. Solutions for power, RJ 45 data or hybrid copper are widely used in the market. The fibre optic versions now offer new possibilities with multi mode and single mode glass fibres. Where larger transmission distances, high data rates or EMC problems reach the limits of copper, the IP protected fibre optic variants can now be used.

All fibre optic connector versions are designed for fibre-to-fibre connection in miscellaneous applications, eg. connection of base station to antenna unit with integrated RF head. Also direct coupling to an electro-optical converter, like a SFF transceiver is included in the HARTING development roadmap.
