Fiber Optic Connector withstands harsh environments.

Press Release Summary:

Utilizing multimode glass fibre, Push Pull Fibre LC is suited for applications where large transmission distances, high data rates, or EMC problems reach limits of copper fiber. Connector is vibration-protected and fulfills requirements according to IP 65/67.

Push Pull Fibre LC - Plug ´n Play

The Push Pull Fibre LC from HARTING is the first fibre optic connector in IP 67, which complies with industrial cabling. The integration of the standard LC fibre optic connector opens new fields of application for fibre in harsh environments. The system is robust; vibration protected and fulfils the requirements according to IP 65/67.

The HARTING RJ Industrial product family started originally as copper based. The fibre optic version now offers new possibilities for multimode glass fibre. Where larger transmission distances, high data rates or EMC problems reach the limits of copper; the IP protected fibre optic variant can now be used.

The Technology Group now offers a fibre optic connector for fibre-to-fibre connection for miscellaneous applications, e. g. as a panel feed through. Based again on the Push Pull housing a variant for polymere optical fibres (POF) will follow. Also direct coupling to an electro-optical converter, like a SFF transceiver, is included in the HARTING planning.
