Fiber Laser Cutting Machine delivers power and flexibility.

Press Release Summary:

Equipped with 2 kW Fiber 2000 fiber laser, BySprint Fiber 3015 can cut steel, stainless steel, and aluminum as well as non-ferrous metals such as copper and brass. Laser beam is transported to cutting head via passive fiber, and cutting head with 150 mm focal length optimizes performance in cutting of thin and thick material. While performance is optimized for handing metal sheets up to .160 in. thick, laser source provides power enough to process sheet materials as thick as .500 in.

For Immediate Release: Bystronic's New Bysprint Fiber 3015 Emphasizes Energy Efficiency, Cutting Speed, and Flexibility

(Hauppauge, NY) - At FABTECH International in Atlanta, Bystronic introduced the BySprint Fiber 3015, a high-power fiber laser cutting machine based on the BySprint Pro platform and the concept ByVention Fiber laser machine the company introduced three years ago in Munich, at Laser World of Photonics. The BySprint Fiber 3015 marks the company's first production series model of a laser cutting system that employs fiber-laser technology. Its introduction coincides, appropriately enough, with the 50th anniversary of the first working laser apparatus.

Equipped with a 2-kilowatt "Fiber 2000" fiber laser, the BySprint Fiber 3015 is powerful enough to cut steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and non-ferrous metals, such as copper and brass, with high process reliability and precision. It offers unparalleled performance with thin metal sheets that range up to .160-inch thickness, and the laser source provides power enough to process sheet materials as thick as .500-inch.

The laser beam is transported to the cutting head through a passive fiber, as opposed to the deflection mirror systems employed by carbon dioxide lasers. The result is lower operating and maintenance costs, in addition to significant energy savings as a result of using the Fiber 2000 laser source. BySprint Fiber 3015 owners will also benefit from fast cutting speeds, and the high degree of system flexibility that job shops require. The specially designed cutting head has a focal length of 150mm, enabling it to cut both thin and thick material with optimum performance.
