IDEAL Fiber Inspection Microscope Is Upgradeable From 100X To 200X Magnification, Enables Inspection Of Multimode & Singlemode Fiber In One Unit
SYCAMORE, IL, September 9, 2002 - IDEAL INDUSTRIES, INC., a worldwide supplier to the data communications industry, continues to expand its comprehensive line of fiber optic cable tools for installers and system integrators with the introduction today of the Model 45-332, an upgradeable fiber inspection microscope featuring ScopeSwitch(TM) technology that enables the user to effortlessly convert the standard 100X magnification scope to an optional 200X scope for outstanding inspection of both multimode fiber and singlemode fiber.
In addition, the Model 45-332 is one of the first microscopes available with an optional MTRJ-Style Connector Adapter and a 1.25mm Connector Adapter, further expanding its versatility.

An essential tool in ensuring reliable network uptime by minimizing signal loss, the Model 45-332 comes with a 2.5mm universal adapter for FC, ST and SC style connectors. Users simply insert the fiber ferrule into the microscope, turn on the long-life LED illuminator, and inspect the end surface for cleanliness and overall core condition. Scratches, pits, dirt and other imperfections that can result in compromised transmission are clearly seen through the high-precision glass optics. A laser barrier filter is built into the unit for safety.
Unlike fragile lab microscopes, the Model 45-332 is designed for field use, featuring a rugged, rubberized metal housing. The soft, padded carrying case and the scope's compact dimensions (7.5" x 1.96" x 1.18") allow it to be conveniently stored in a tool kit. The white illumination bulb boasts a 100,000-hour life, while the battery life is approximately 48 hours.
