Martinsried, 10-28-2009 - The FiberTECII(TM) Series is Blue Sky Research's recently released, second generation of high performance, fiber-coupled laser modules. They have been optimized to meet the demanding performance requirements of applications that include medical, bioanalytical and automated instrumentation.

The FiberTECII(TM) product family incorporates highly integrated sophisticated electronics within the laser module with DC power operation for laser diode drive and protection, direct modulation of output power and feedback functions. A wide variety of wavelength and power options are available including the new 488 and 532nm and the very popular 405nm and 635nm products.

The FiberTECII(TM) lasers utilize several distinct technical approaches compared to other laser diode modules. Blue Sky Research patented micro lens approach transforms the elliptical beam into a circular one and therefore optimizes the efficiency of coupling power into the fiber. This enables Blue Sky to drive its lasers less at a lower diode current than competitors, resulting in more stable power output over time and temperature. Custom configurations are available on request.
