New Series of Ferrite Drum Core Inductors for Switchmode Power Supplies
Prem Magnetics, Inc. has announced the introduction of its newest line of Ferrite Drum Core Inductors for Switchmode power supplies (SMPS) and other applications. The SPB-250 Series utilizes ferrite material that is stable from 0 to their full-rated current.
The SPB-250 Series consists of 26 parts. Each has inductance values ranging from 18.0 µHy @ 13.5 amps to 2200 µHy @ 1.7 amps DC. Typical dimensions for SPB-250 Series is 0.974" (24.74mm) diameter x 0.795" (20.19mm) height. Each part has a mounting hole through the center of the core that accepts a #4 non-metallic screw to secure the part to the printed circuit board. The two leads extend radically from the bottom of the core, and are 180° apart from each other.
