line of flat profile solutions for applications exposed to abrasion, bundling,
electromagnetic interference and thermal issues.
Flat profile products are engineered to accommodate a new level of electrical
distribution system technologies utilizing flat flexible cable (FFC) while providing
directional flexibility of wires. These products also facilitate the installation
of round wire bundles into tight or confined spaces. The closure systems
are designed to allow easy access for inspection, rework or replacement of
components.
Federal-Mogul Systems Protection Group continues to develop innovative

example, a flat braided sleeve was developed consisting of metallized yarns,
a drain wire and an electrically conductive coating for improved resistance
and sleeve formation. The protective shield can be braided directly over
flat flexible cable or wire harnesses in a variety of widths using a continuous
inline braiding process. Another unique feature includes the controlled
placement of one drain wire for direct grounding purposes.
