DayGlo Introduces Rich, Lustrous Colors for Housewares



FDA-approved Gem-Tone(TM) pigments are safe for freezer and microwave applications

Cleveland, OH - DayGlo, a global leader in the color industry, has unveiled a new range of colors for use in food applications - meeting FDA standards for direct food contact and opening a range of color options for new markets and applications. The new DayGlo Gem-Tone(TM) color palette can be used in products that go straight from the freezer to the microwave, enhancing any number of housewares - from richly-colored plates and microwaveable containers to jewel-like Tupperware and eye-catching cups and mugs.

DayGlo's Gem-Tone colorants are the very first FDA-approved polymeric colorants for use in clarified Polypropylene and are currently available in four rich, transparent colors such as Sapphire Blue and Ruby Red. A full range of colors can be achieved by blending the standard colors for greater effect. They are approved for conditions of use B-H and J (heat pasteurization and microwave applications).
