SPX GSE tech-motive tool's New Mobile Fastening System II Is Handy Cart for In-Plant and Lab Assembly Verification



Novi, MI - The new Mobile Fastening System II (MFS II) offered by SPX GSE tech-motive tool is a portable fastening and torque/angle auditing assistant that can be used throughout the assembly plant or testing laboratory. Collecting and analyzing
joint rundown data couldn't be easier. The MFS II includes a four-wheel cart, personal computer loaded with a fastening program, monitor, keyboard and cover, printer, controllers, plus compartments and hangers for fastening tools and cables.

Three versions of the MFS II cart are available:

o The standard MFS II A cart includes two controllers: one for use with GSE tech-motive tool 46 Series digital nutrunners (5-30 Nm); the other for use with the 56, 66, or 116 Series tools (7-1,125 Nm). Tools and cables are not included.

o The intermediate MFS II B cart is the basic package with two GSE tech-motive tool intelligent nutrunners of choice (rated to 90 Nm), one audit torque wrench, a Model 290 data-stat data collection instrument, two-year warranty on cart and one year warranty on tools and instruments.

o The advanced MFS II C cart includes everything in MFS II B, plus two additional GSE tech-motive tool intelligent nutrunners (rated to 150 Nm), and a intelligent audit torque wrench, software customization, and three-year extended warranty on cart, tools, wrenches and instrument.

The Windows® - based MFS II software is MS Windows NT® based, operates on a touch screen monitor and enables saving of rundown, Tool Library or Sequence Library data in the .mdb format, compatible with MS Access® or other database programs. The software also allows the user to:

o Store a photograph of a joint in a .bmp or jpg format with the steps in a fastening sequence - a valuable visual aid for operators

o View a fastening graph immediately after a rundown occurs and specify the automatic saving of graphs

o Use the bar code scanning capability to create a Build Number

o Add new tool model numbers to the standard Tool Library at the touch of a button

The MFS II Cart is used for applications including joint analysis and troubleshooting, prototype component building and testing, and production line repair.
