DALLAS, TX (May 4, 2004) - Giving design engineers an economical option for cooling electronics enclosures, Orion Fans has developed a 6" AC fan that provides a breakthrough 300cfm airflow. One of the new XC Series, this model is available in 115VAC or 230VAC models and feature dual ball bearings with a low power consumption capacitor drive motor. Frame size is 172mm x 150mm x 51mm (6.7" x 5.9" x 2"); and is also available in 172mm (6.7") round style.
Orion developed this series in response to an escalating demand for high performance, low cost fans in fan tray and standalone applications. "Our engineering team was able to boost the fans' airflow to 300cfm utilizing the industry standard 6-inch frame and still keep them extremely cost competitive with volume pricing below $30," explained Kevin Knight, marketing manager for Orion Fans.
The fans are currently being specified by OEMs and CEMs in electronics enclosures, industrial control cabinets, and telecommunications equipment worldwide, he continued.
Typical OEM pricing in 1- to 99-piece quantities is $42.00 each, with stock available immediately from Orion or Orion authorized stocking distributors. JIT delivery is available worldwide.
