P&S Fan/Light Combination Switch Regulates Energy Use
SYRACUSE, N.Y. (April. 11, 2006) - Pass & Seymour/Legrand (P&S), a leading manufacturer of electrical wiring devices and home systems, today unveiled the new DEFL44L Decorator Fan/Light Combination Switch. This latest addition to P&S's Timer family is part of a plan to offer total energy-management solutions in homes and buildings. The modern, elegant Decorator style complements all P&S residential and commercial products.
The Decorator Fan/Light Combination Switch joins P&S's Wall Box Timers and Fan/Light Toggle Wall Switch. Offering improved functionality over the Fan/Light Toggle, the Decorator Fan/Light Combination Switch allows for separate fan and light control. With the press of a button, choose from three convenient fan time delays: 20, 40 or 60 minutes. A green LED light allows for easy location of the On/Off light switch in the dark.
"The separate light and fan controls make this a great upgrade choice for contractors and remodelers," said Nancy Pedersen, product manager at P&S. "There are virtually no products like this on the market, and modular color options will enable distributors to carry less inventory." All packages come with three color overlays to fit any décor: ivory, light almond and white.
The Switch is especially useful in bathrooms where proper ventilation ensures sanitary conditions. The Home Ventilating Institute recommends that bathroom fans run for 20 minutes after every shower, to prevent mold buildup.
The Decorator Fan/Light Combination Switch is suited for a 120V, 500W/4.4A maximum. A motor load could also be wired to the fan switch.
