Simrit® Introduces Zero Lash Positive-Drive Seal Pump Applications
CHICAGO, March 3, 2003 - Many of us have heard the high-pitched squeal that is a result of a dishwasher or laundry machine completing its cycle and pumping out the remaining water. However, thanks to a patented technology developed by Simrit®, this irritating noise can now be eliminated.
Simrit - the industrial products division of Freudenberg-NOK - has introduced its Zero Lash Positive-Drive mechanical face seal which utilizes patented design features and proprietary materials to eliminate dynamic seal noise. It was specifically designed for water applications, such as residential and commercial water circulation, as well as intake and discharge pumps.
This technology, along with Simrit's broad offering of industrial sealing and precision-molded elastomeric components, is on display at booth 6153 at the National Design Engineering Show being held here this week at McCormick Place.
Until recently, one of Simrit's customers had exclusive rights to the Zero Lash Positive-Drive seal. This seal technology significantly lowered the number of field service calls and has considerably reduced warranty costs for that customer.
